Ensure mats and slings are soaking wet before any contact with fish.
Retaining Slings are to be used for the absolute bare minimum time, whilst your sort your mat, scales, camera gear. They are not to be used to retain fish all night, breaking this rule will result in you being asked to leave.
Fish are to be treated with care when unhooking, please use propolis or similar carp care treatments where necessary on mouths, cuts, lifted scales etc. If in any doubt contact the fishery team, we are more than happy
to help.
Fish are to be returned to water in a sling, not carried.
Do not stand when holding fish for photographs.
We’ve supplied permanent weigh bars to assist with weighing fish, please use them, and keep the unhooking mat underneath whilst doing so.
Any fish over 30lb to be reported to fishery team.
In the very unlikely event a fish becomes snagged, do not pull for a break, call the fishery team and we’ll get the boat out, we’d much rather you land it!
Fish are not to be removed from the lake or moved between lakes under any circumstances.
